Our guest for lunch this week was Jim Tuman, founder of Jimmy's Kids. Since 1989, Jimmy's Kids has served the littlest ones, the disadvantaged who would otherwise be forgotten... those who are indigent, physically or emotionally impaired and in some cases, parentless. They operate with hundreds of volunteers to take care of these forgotten kids and families in need. And they don't turn anyone away. Jimmy's Kids receives requests for help from schools, hospitals, churches, neighborhood associations and families. This amazing program has grown from a local effort to serving children in seven midwestern states. Their goal is to provide a Christmas to over 25,000 needy children from Kindergarten through 4th grade with toys, food and clothing items that spring from donations. Jim is also a motivational speaker who travels to schools to speak on the topic of anti-bullying.
