donationsWe need your help.

The Xemplar Club of Farmington & Farmington Hills is an all-volunteer organization. Each year we provide over $25,000 in funding to local non-profit organizations in our community that are focused on supporting youth, families and seniors, particularly those considered at-risk. We strive to make our two cities a better place to live, by providing expertise and financial assistance to a vast network of community service programs and volunteer organizations.

The Farmington - Farmington Hills Xemplar Club is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) public charity. Contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by the IRS. Please check with your tax professional for assistance in calculating your deduction.

What do Xemplars do?

Our club sponsors a wide range of activities to improve our community, help the disadvantaged and encourage good American citizenship. Members also initiate activities to meet unique local needs. This may be anything from raising funds for the homeless to building and staffing a sheltered workshop for the disabled. Here in our local area, we support numerous youth oriented programs.

Why join Xemplar?

To help build a better community, and in doing so, bring out the best in yourself. Xemplar helps members develop leadership, networking, and organizational skills that contribute to success in business, family and personal endeavors. More importantly, Xemplar provides members with the opportunity to share their time and talents to help others, whether by reaching out to an abused child who needs love and affection or organizing a community crime prevention program or wielding rakes in a clean-up project. Through these and many other positive, public-spirited projects, Xemplars are making a real difference in our community.

We're New, But We've Been Around A Long Time

Our club was formed in 2010 by 73 members of a local chapter of a national service organization. While we valued our long relationship with the previous organization, our members felt we could better serve our local community by becoming an independent organization. Our members have always unselfishly served our community and worked to improve the quality of life. Our sponsored programs and projects have made a considerable impact on our community, enhancing the lives of countless men, women and children. In January of 2010, our members voted to become an independent community service organization, and formed the Xemplar Club of Farmington & Farmington Hills. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit public charity.

Our Organization

The Xemplar Club of Farmington & Farmington Hills meets each Wednesday when our schools are in session, from early September through mid-June for lunch at Cowley's Pub/Restaurant in downtown Farmington, Michigan.  Each meeting is filled with fellowship, fun and education, with a different guest speaker presenting each week. The Club also hosts a number of special events for our members including a holiday grab bag gift luncheon, a theatre night at the Farmington Players Barn, a group outing to Comerica Park for a Tiger's game, and a Valentine's Sweetheart Dinner.

We are committed to serving families, seniors and youth in Farmington and Farmington Hills, particularly those who are considered at-risk. Donations to the Xemplar Club are tax deductible to the full extent permitted by law. In June of each year, we raise funds through theXemplar Club Signature Golf Classic held at Farmington Hills Golf Club, which we in turn donate to numerous charitable organizations in the community. On Memorial Day, we are honored to manage the parade in downtown Farmington and also hand out over 4,000 American flags to children along the parade route in Farmington.

Our club is made up of individuals from all walks of life in the community including doctors, judges, business owners, retirees, and school officials.  New members are always welcome and we encourage you to consider joining what we believe is the finest service organization in the State of Michigan, the Xemplar Club of Farmington & Farmington Hills.

Our Volunteers

The Xemplar Club is an all-volunteer service organization for men and women who want to serve their community, develop leadership skills and enjoy new friendships. Every dollar raised by our non-profit group goes directly to supporting local programs. We welome the public at our Euchre Night in March at the Costick Activities Center, and the Xemplar Club Signature Golf Classic on the last Wednesday in June at the Farmington Hills Golf Club. You can learn more about these events through our web site.
